ATTY. BENJAMIN NEGAPATAN
Admitted to the bar in 1994
Mr. Negapatan received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering,
cum laude, from the University of San Carlos in
Cebu City and an L.L.B., cum laude, from the University
of the Visayas-Gullas Law School. As a law practitioner
and environmental consultant, his expertise is
in environmental law where he prepares Environmental
Impact documents required in the issuance of Environmental
Compliance Certificates (ECC). He also drafts
Engineer's Reports for the issuance of Pollution
Permits, conducts environmental impact assessments
and recommends mitigation and enhancement measures,
and recommends pollution control and environmental
measures.
He worked extensively with the Department of
Environment and Natural Resources as Pollution
Control Technologist, Environmental Management
Specialist, and as Legal Officer. He was the President
of the Cebu Environmental Initiative for Development
Center, a group which aims to balance industrialization
and environmental protection.
